Read moreHow To Refresh Your Bra Drawer For 2018
You’ve set your goals, purged your closet of any unnecessary items, and maybe even refreshed your living space for the new year. But as you make resolutions and set new intentions every year, it’s important to set yourself up to feel confident in your own skin. Restocking your bra drawer is a great way to start⏤and the perfect way to treat yourself.
Here are the rules we live by when cleaning out our bra drawer:
Evaluate every 6 months. Start cleaning out your bra drawer in January! We know it can be hard to let go of a bra you love⏤but over time, even the most well-made bras lose their elasticity and ultimately fall apart. Look for signs of wear and tear on your bras. And, if you think your size might have changed, take our Fit Finder® quiz again.
Replace and recycle. Replace bras that are past their prime. For gently used bras you don’t want to keep, consider donating them to women in need. If you haven’t worn it in the past year, it’s time to add to that donate pile⏤there may even be a service that accepts gently used bras right in your neighborhood!
Keep at least 3 bras on rotation. To extend the lifetime of your bras, we suggest rotating between at least three bras in your wardrobe to give each bra a break every so often. We believe every woman should have these seven bras in her wardrobe, but three is a great start!
Treat them right. Bras should be stored standing up in a drawer, not folded, with the cups inside of each other to help them hold their shape. Hand washing is best, and never (ever!) put them in the dryer.
