Buy One, Give One: How ThirdLove Is Doing Black Friday

During the busiest retail week of the year, we’re redefining the meaning of BOGO and offering a different kind of deal. Starting today through Nov. 27, buy one bra and we’ll give one bra to a victim of the California wildfires.

This cause is especially near and dear to our hearts as over a dozen ThirdLove employees at our Chico office lost their homes to the Camp Fire. In just one week, the fire engulfed 140,000 acres of Butte County, destroying 12,794 structures and leaving thousands of residents displaced.

A bra is an essential that most women don’t think twice about. It’s one of the first layers we put on as we get dressed each day and that’s that. For many of us, it provides daily comfort and coverage. But for others who are displaced, it can be a significant source of dignity.

Last week, ThirdLove HQ came together to send a U-Haul truck full of essentials, including 2,500 ThirdLove bras and clothing, which were distributed immediately to our teammates and others in need. We also offered free bras and underwear to impacted individuals from our Chico office.

To extend our efforts beyond the Chico community, we’ll be matching every bra purchase with a bra donation.

At ThirdLove, we run our donation program all year long. All returned bras that are in good condition are sent to our donation partner, I Support the Girls, a not-for-profit that collects and distributes gently worn bras and menstrual hygiene products to women and girls in need.
